Affiliate Programme Terms
Affiliate Programme Terms
These terms govern the LoomLane Business Women programme — for members who curate sarees, recommend them, and earn a commission when someone buys.
They are an agreement between you and LOOMLANE TECHNOLOGIES LLP ("LoomLane"). By joining the programme you accept them.
1. What this is, and what it is not
You are running your own small business using LoomLane's platform. You curate sarees, share them with people you know, and earn a share when they buy.
You are not our employee, agent or partner. There is no salary, no employment relationship, no authority to bind LoomLane to anything, and no promise of income. You choose when and how much you work.
This is not a scheme with levels. You earn from sales you generate. You do not earn from recruiting other members, and there are no downlines, tiers, or joining fees — by design and permanently. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are not speaking for LoomLane, and we would like to know about it.
There is nothing to buy. Joining is free. We will never ask you to purchase inventory, a starter kit, or a package to participate.
2. Joining
- You must be 18 or older, resident in India, and legally able to contract.
- You register with your own details. One person, one membership.
- You complete identity verification before you can withdraw earnings — see §5.
- We may decline or end a membership at our discretion, and will tell you why unless legally prevented.
3. What you may and may not do
You may
- Share sarees, collections and your store with people, on any channel you like
- Say what you honestly think, including that you dislike something
- Build a following and a reputation of your own
You must
- Disclose that you earn. In the post itself, where the reader will see it — not buried in a profile or a link. Someone spending real money deserves to know whether the person recommending it earns from that decision. This is the rule we enforce most strictly.
- Be honest about the product. Do not invent provenance, claim a powerloom saree is handloom, or promise a delivery date you do not control.
- Follow the Community Guidelines everywhere you post on LoomLane.
- Respect people's privacy — only contact people who would expect to hear from you, and stop when someone asks you to.
You must not
- Spam, bulk-message strangers, or buy contact lists
- Promise refunds, discounts, delivery dates or outcomes on LoomLane's behalf
- Represent yourself as LoomLane, or use our name in a way that suggests you are us
- Bid on LoomLane's brand terms in paid advertising
- Self-refer, or generate sales through accounts you control
- Coordinate returns, fake orders, or any arrangement designed to generate commission on sales that were never real
4. Commission
How it is calculated. Commission is a share of the platform's own margin on qualifying sales attributed to you. The current rate, the floor that applies, and how attribution works are shown in your dashboard in the app, and change only prospectively.
When it is earned. A sale qualifies when it is delivered and the return window on it closes. That is deliberate: commission on a saree that comes back is not commission, and paying it earlier would mean clawing it back later.
What does not qualify
- Cancelled or returned orders
- Your own purchases, or purchases by accounts you control
- Orders where attribution was manipulated
- Orders found to be fraudulent
Attribution. Where more than one member could claim a sale, our attribution rules decide it, and they are visible to you in the app. We will explain any specific attribution on request.
We may change the commission structure with notice, going forward. Commission already earned is not affected.
5. Getting paid
Verification first. Before any withdrawal you must complete identity verification, including PAN and bank details. This is a legal requirement, not a preference. Until it is complete, earnings accrue but cannot be withdrawn.
Withdrawals go to the verified bank account in your name. We do not pay to a third party's account.
Tax. Your earnings are your income and taxing them is your responsibility.
- We deduct tax at source where the law requires it, and issue the corresponding certificate.
- We report payments to you as the law requires.
- If you are registered for GST, tell us — it changes how your invoicing works.
- We do not give tax advice. Please take your own.
Thresholds. A minimum withdrawal amount may apply and is shown in the app.
Converting to LoomLane credit. You may convert earnings into LoomLane credit to spend on the platform, on the terms shown in the app. Credit is not withdrawable — see the Wallet, Gift Card & Referral Terms.
6. Your customers are not your property
The people who buy through you are LoomLane customers, and they are your relationships. Both things are true.
- You keep your own notes and your own contacts.
- We do not take your relationships away from you, and we do not market around you to cut you out.
- Equally, a buyer is free to buy from LoomLane without you, and you have no claim on their future orders simply because you introduced them.
Data about the people you sell to must be handled lawfully. Only bring in contacts who would expect to hear from you, and remove anyone who asks — see the Privacy Policy.
7. Suspension and ending
You may leave at any time. Earnings already properly earned remain payable.
We may suspend or end your membership for breach of these terms, fraud, abuse, undisclosed commercial relationships, or where the law requires it.
- Where we suspend for suspected fraud, we may hold pending earnings while we investigate, and we will tell you that we are doing so.
- Where the investigation finds nothing, the hold is released in full.
- Where it finds fraud, we may forfeit the affected earnings and recover what was already paid.
On ending, verified earnings that qualified before the end date are paid on the normal cycle. Unqualified earnings do not vest.
8. Liability
We do not guarantee any level of sales, income, or visibility. What you earn depends on what you do.
Subject to rights that cannot lawfully be limited, our total liability to you in connection with this programme in any twelve-month period is limited to the commission payable to you in that period.
9. Changes
We publish changes as a new version with its own effective date, and we ask you to accept material changes before you continue. Earlier versions remain available at their permanent links.
10. Questions and disputes
Your programme contact in the app is the fastest route. Otherwise hello@loomlane.org, and then the Grievance Officer whose contact details are published on the Grievance Redressal page.
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
